Tony Packo's Cafe, with several locations in Toledo including its original Front Street restaurant, has earned quite a following for its tasty chili hot dogs. But, that's not all.
Since 1932 the cozy restaurant has been dishing up authentic Hungarian dishes, and it started a pretty popular and unique tradition.
Just take a peek at the wall that's brimming with autographed hot dog buns of globally and locally recognized names. The wall got its start when, way back in 1972, Burt Reynolds picked up a hot dog bun and signed it when asked for his autograph.
Before you get a closer look at the wall of autographed hot dog buns, peruse the menu that features such signature dishes as the fried pickles.
If you love chili hot dogs, you'll definitely want to try the Packo's Original Hot Dog, commonly known as the Hungarian Dog. It comes topped with mustard, onions, and hot dog sauce.
You can also order the Front Street Frank, a classic American hot dog with all of the same toppings. You can add shredded cheese to either dog, too.
You can't go wrong with a hearty helping of chili, topped with shredded cheese, either. Tony Packo's also serves chili cheese fries, chicken chili, and vegetable chili.
If you've got a hankering for an authentic Hungarian meal, you've got a quite a few choices - stuffed cabbage and chicken paprikas, for example.
Dig into one of Ohio's best chili dogs at Tony Packo's. The original Front Street restaurant welcomes diners Monday through Thursday from 10:30 a.m. to 9 p.m., Friday and Saturday from 10:30 a.m. to 10 p.m., and Sunday from 11:30 a.m. to 9 p.m.
