This North Dakota Dining Experience Has Been Called One of the Best Restaurants in the Nation

North Dakota might be a bit of a quiet place to visit or live but don't count it out when it comes to things like, say, unique dining experiences. We've got an amalgamation of reasons to visit just for foodies - so many that it's nigh impossible to list or mention them all in a single article; that said, I do love pointing out particular examples of awesomeness, and if you've never heard of Kroll's Diner, it's about time you have. It's a local chain of the coolest vintage diners in North Dakota, and it's an experience you'll never forget. Unique dining in North Dakota has a new face - and that face is Kroll's.

Welcome to Kroll's, a picture-perfect 50s-style diner that you'll find in North Dakota - and only North Dakota. But Kroll's Diner is more than JUST a vintage diner - it serves up a lot more than burgers and shakes, though the burgers and shakes ARE spectacular. This diner appears all-American, but it's hiding a German flare. From delicious starters like knoephla soup to cabbage rolls, fleischkuechle, sauerkraut, and SO much more, this all-American diner isn't entirely so American after all. Of course, don't let this deter you if you're more of a diner purist; you'll find all the best classics here, too, and they're fantastic. Breakfast is served all day, and you can never, ever go wrong with lunch... or dinner... or dessert. 

My personal favorite is the milkshakes, which are hand-made with real ice cream and topped with whipped cream and cherries. But the menu is huge - there's a LOT more than just dessert (and German deliciousness). Enjoy French dip sandwiches, steaks, omelets, burgers, wraps... the list goes on forever! One thing is certain - you'll need to bring a couple of things. One, your appetite, and two, your sense of nostalgia. You'll need 'em both for this one. This is a little more than "just" dining at an old-school diner... it's also a German restaurant and a place to gather in a truly unique setting.   

Eating here is a whole experience that you, and the entire family, will love. Best of all, there are numerous locations, but only in North Dakota - so pick the one closest to you!
