Family-Owned Since The 1940s, Step Back In Time At Verdile’s In New York

Verdile's Restaurant is a big deal in Troy, New York, and especially in the Lansingburgh neighborhood where it has been serving great food to its customers for almost 80 years. This family-owned restaurant has been owned and operated by three generations of the Verdile family since 1943, and has been in its present location since 1952. As mentioned above, Verdile's Restaurant has been in this location at 572 2nd Avenue since 1952. In 1961, the family bought the building next door and expanded. The dining space doubled inside.

For your main course, a veal or chicken parmigiana is a perfect selection. As you can see, the portion sizes are quite large.

All entrees come with a large side of spaghetti, of course. If you prefer a different side instead, you can choose two. Sides offered include French fries, baked potato, cole slaw, pickled beets, Italian greens, or the vegetable of the day.

If pasta is what you really crave, you can design your own pasta plate. Verdile's offers eight different types of pasta and eight different types of sauce. This picture shows the zita with meatball tomato sauce.

However, no matter what you order, don't forget to leave room for dessert. This cookie & cream mousse torte is excellent. Verdile's is also famous for its carrot cake.
