Chef Giusto Priola’s Pasta Eater Is Serving Some Of The Freshest Pasta In New York

We know there's plenty of places in New York City to get an amazing bowl of pasta. You can almost throw a rock and hit a restaurant serving some unforgettable Italian food. But we really love Pasta Eater for their casual vibe and great food. Diners are made to feel at home inside of this Manhattan restaurant, and for that reason—along with the food, of course—we think it makes for some of the best pasta in New York City. We love the name Pasta Eater. It’s so succinct and to the point. And it really is what diners will do when they show up to the restaurant: eat pasta.

Pasta Eater comes from chef Giusto Priola, who is also the mind behind Cacio e Pepe, a downtown Manhattan spot specializing in Roman-style Italian food.

Pasta Eater is all about Southern Italian food, with head chef Luigi Cetrulo hailing from Puglia.

Some of our favorite dishes at Pasta Eater are the burnt-wheat cavatelli and the Roman rigatoni alla carbonara. The Sicilian paccheri and tagghiarini is even served in a wheel of cheese.

Chef Priola is in charge of making the pasta. Chef Cetrulo cooks it. It’s a delineation of labor that bears serious fruits.

The vibe, too, is cozy and elegant, making for a pasta-eating experience that is both low-key and special. It's the kind of place that will really leave a lasting impression on diners.

While in Manhattan, we think it's worth taking in a meal at Pasta Eater. We doubt many diners will be disappointed by the restaurant's perfect combination of food and ambience. Also in Manhattan lies one of the world's largest department stores, which is also worth checking out! And for those looking for a place to stay in New York City, we recommend Crowne Plaza Times Square.
