Fireside Kosher, often called the best Kosher restaurant in the state, is located in the Hamlet of Monsey, not far from Nanuet and Spring Valley. But you won't see it from the street - it's found in the Town Square Mall, an indoor-outdoor shopping plaza that has a variety of businesses, many of them relating to food. Fireside is a Kosher meat restaurant, which means no dairy products on the menu. So how is their pizza so good? Fireside serves massive deep-dish pizzas heavy on the meat, with rich and creamy aioli standing in for the cheese. You can have it with a thin-crust if you prefer.
The entrees are often inspired by classic deli dishes, but given a major step up - like this stunning pastrami short rib.
Fireside wears a lot of hats, but it's also a top-notch steakhouse serving cuts from a chimichurri skirt steak to a massive Tomahawk for two.
Then there's the desserts - and you'll be amazed by just how indulgent dairy-free sweets can taste. A massive sampler board is available if you have a big party who wants to try everything.
