Who doesn't love a good game of pinball? It's enough to give you flashbacks of the past when arcade games were exceptionally popular. The Mystic Krewe Pinball Parlor is a blast from the past with its retro arcade games. It was once found within Kebab, a Mediterranean restaurant, but is now opening a new location in Mid-City. It's a place where playing pinball is pleasurable. New generations develop a love for the game thanks to the many 1970s machines that make up the incredible establishment.
The global COVID-19 pandemic forced Kebab to remove the pinball machines to make room for socially distanced dining. It's the reason why the Mystic Krewe Pinball Parlor sought a new location for its machines. Knowing how popular they are to locals and visitors alike, the arcade bar has now located a better location for it to be in permanently.
People enjoy the artwork and theme of the games as much as they enjoy playing them. The pinball machines are relics from decades past. They've seen much gameplay in their lifetimes and continue to be a source of joy for people of all ages.
Pinball tournaments test local players' skills. Winners received a plaque announcing their placement in the tournament. The Mystic Krewe Pinball Parlor has recently resumed game play at its new location (address is below).
Classes held at the Pinball Parlor involved MAME technology found in some of the best arcade games of the past. The barcade is much more than just a place to have a drink and play pinball. It's a community that has developed throughout the years.
The brightly colored graphics paired with the fantastic sound effects are unrivaled. Today's electronic games are nothing like the real deal. Pinball involves incredible hand-eye coordination. You've got to keep the pinball in motion so that you're able to rack up as many points as possible.
Kids are mesmerized by the games. They can't wait to insert their money into the machines to give them a try. Their parents can teach them a thing or two about how to play well. Most children of the 70s and 80s visited an arcade or laundromat with arcade games in it at least once in their lives.
