High Noon Restaurant And Saloon Is An Old-School Steakhouse In New Mexico That Hasn’t Changed In Decades
High Noon Restaurant and Saloon in Albuquerque offers a historic dining experience with a variety of steaks, wild game, and unique local dishes.
For more than four decades, a New Mexico mainstay has been offering up an assortment of steaks and other dishes to diners stopping by in Albuquerque. The High Noon Restaurant and Saloon was established in 1974, but its ambiance suggests a time long-since passed.
The exterior motif conjures up images of the Old West. Inside, High Noon staffers provide patrons with a more modern, time-honored menu that includes a signature, coriander-cured steak that is topped off with a touch of brown sugar.
High Noon, located in the heart of Albuquerque, is touted as Old Town’s original steakhouse. Old Town is Albuquerque’s original settlement with a number of historic, century-old homes and other architecture.
The restaurant operates out of a historic adobe building that clearly articulates Albuquerque’s heritage.
Alongside its signature steaks, High Noon offers up seasonal steaks, in addition to other unique offerings, such as wild game, small-batch New Mexican food, and hand-pattied burgers.
High Noon also is noted for its accompaniments and side dishes, which include a unique mix of wild, locally grown ingredients.
The appetizer menu also has gained notoriety, with combinations intermingling salsa, guacamole, and queso. Beef bites are another fan favorite.
High Noon also has an extensive drink menu that features homemade margaritas, tequila, and a custom selection of beers and wines.
