Chuy Gutierrez moved to the United States from Mexico as a young boy. He always loved to cook, so in 2001, he and his wife opened their first restaurant - Fresh Mex. It was a success, and in 2011 they changed the name and moved their restaurant to Reno's Midtown District.

Today, Mari Chuy's Mexican restaurant has four locations - one in Midtown Reno, one in South Reno, one in Sparks, and one in Reno Airport.

The Midtown location is the oldest and most popular and it's a lovely place to dine. You can grab a seat inside if you'd like.

Or, there's plenty of space to eat outdoors, if you prefer.
