Celebrate Deep Dish Pizza With the Best in Nevada—A Must-Try Hotspot for Pizza Lovers
Even Chicagoans can't get enough of the Chicago-style pizzas at this local joint in Nevada.
Thin crust or deep dish? Will we ever settle this almost century-old pizza debate? Why are we always arguing over pizza? If you’re like me and grew up in New York City, naturally, thin crust would be a no-brainer. But honestly, I’ve got a secret love affair with the ooey-gooey, Chicago-style staple, too. Luckily, there are several local joints where pizza lovers (like me) can get their deep-dish pizza fixes. If you live in Nevada and are craving Chicago-style pizza, hop in your car and drive to Amore Taste of Chicago for one of the best deep-dish pizzas near Las Vegas.
Fun Fact: Even food historians disagree about who invented deep-dish pizza. Unofficially, the credit goes to Ike Sewell and Richard Riccardo, the original owners of the global chain, Uno’s Pizzeria & Grill. And while I’ve eaten many personal deep-dish pies from Uno's (they’re delicious!), it’s great that restaurants like Amore have brought this Midwest delight to Nevada.
Known as the “best Chicago-style pizza in town,” does Amore Taste of Chicago live up to its claim? It does! In fact, it’s a favorite spot for social media influencers who can’t get enough of the “cheese pull” on the stuffed or deep-dish pizzas. Even native Chicagoans keep coming back for the pies.

Amore has two locations: the first opened in 2008 on Durango Drive in Las Vegas, and the second in nearby Henderson on Sunset Road. With a sports-themed vibe dedicated to Chitown legends, Amore is a favorite spot for sports enthusiasts. The large flatscreen TVs, the selections of beers (available on tap or in a bottle), wine, and specialty drinks make this pizza joint a cool place to watch the games.
But the food is all the rage here! The deep-dish pizza is arguably one of the best in the area. The buttery crust with crispy edges and fluffy middle, layered with mounds of cheese, covered with sauce, and toppings, is true to the authentic Chicago-style pizza we love. Cheese lovers, take your pizza to the next level and order the stuffed pie. Extra cheese is nestled between two layers of dough for the ultimate cheese pull. Yum!
The deep-dish and stuffed pizzas take up to 45 minutes to bake, but don’t worry, the pizzas are worth the wait.
If deep-dish is not your thing, you’ll be glad to know that Amore also has tavern-style pizza. This thin-crust pie is cut into small squares, making it easy to enjoy bite-sized pieces.
Other options include double dough, gluten-free, and cauliflower crust, which is great if you’re on a keto diet. You can build your own pie, choosing from over 20 toppings, or opt for a specialty pizza. They include the Margherita, the BBQ chicken, the bacon cheeseburger, the white, and the taco pizza. With all these selections, this place is like a pizza lover’s dream come true.
While pizza is the star of the show here, the restaurant has an extensive menu full of all our Italian favorites. The appetizer menu includes bruschetta, calamari, and homemade fried mozzarella, just to name a few. If you can’t decide, I suggest the sampler that comes with fried mozzarella, fried mushrooms, fried zucchini, fried ravioli, and onion rings.
You can also choose from salads and soups, classic sandwiches, and there’s even a Chicago-style Vienna hot dog, too. The dinner entrees are plentiful with favorites like homemade lasagna, lobster ravioli, chicken parmigiana, and I can’t forget to mention the classic: spaghetti and meatballs. You’ll need multiple visits to eat your way through Amore’s menu.
Plus, you’ll want to save room for dessert. Don’t skip the homemade mini cannolis, the Oreo Cheesecake, or the homemade tiramisu. If you’re at the Henderson location, get a scoop (or two) of the yummy gelato or try the viral Dubai chocolate dessert (if you know…you know!).

So, if you’re craving delicious, authentic Chicago-style pizza, or classic Italian food and yummy desserts, add this pizza hotspot to your list. And while we may never settle the pizza debate, one thing’s for sure: locals, visitors, and Chicago natives agree that Amore Taste of Chicago serves the best deep-dish pizza near Las Vegas.

While you’re in the area, check out the Bellagio Conservatory and Botanical Gardens. It’s one of my favorite places to visit in Vegas. Chances are, you’ll love it too!
