Montana has more than its share of delicious diners, and for that we are thankful. After all, who doesn't love a big plate of tasty comfort food once in a while (or every day, if we're being honest)?
But Great Falls' Roadside Diner is simply a cut above the rest, in more ways than one. Not only are the portions enormous and the burgers irresistible, but practically every single ingredient you'll find in the food was grown, raised, or produced right here in the Treasure State. This is "eating local" in the best way.
Roadhouse Diner is located at 613 15th Street North in Great Falls.
Tara and Jason Beam opened the diner in 2015, and since then, it has received national attention multiple times.
This little diner has a big reputation, and not just for their absolutely magnificent burgers.
Tara competed on the Food Network show Guy’s Grocery Games in an all-burger showdown ... and she won. The diner has received numerous other awards and shout-outs from MSN, Travel + Leisure Magazine, and more.
The team here supports local ranchers, farmers, and purveyors - and it shows.
The beef is all from McCafferty Ranch in Belt. The fries are hand-cut from Montana-grown potatoes. Even the coffee is a Yirgacheffe bean, air-roasted exclusively for the diner by Montana Coffee Traders.
The burgers, which are held together by scratch-made buns, come with some pretty unique toppings.
They have some fun and unique options on the regular menu as well as frequent specials, like this Death By Peanut Butter burger (yes, please).
The delicious fries taste even better when they're dipped in one or more of the house-made sauces...
... and if you have the room, you'll want to spring for the Bubba Fries.
Bubba Fries come topped with chorizo chili (no beans), cheese, and fresh jalapeño.
Saving room for dessert here is next to impossible, but we highly recommend it.
The custom-made cheesecakes are out of this world, and the shakes are perfection.
Roadhouse Diner is open Wednesday - Saturday from 11 a.m. - 8 p.m.
And no matter where you're located, this food is worth road-tripping for.
The food at Roadhouse Diner is truly one-of-a-kind. Where is your favorite local spot for a tasty burger?
