The Incredible Mississippi Restaurant That’s Housed In An Old Gas Station

The Fillin’ Station in Biloxi, Mississippi, is a former gas station turned restaurant known for its southern and Creole cuisine.

Mississippi is no stranger to gas stations that serve great food. But did you know the state’s also home to a gas station that’s been transformed into an incredible restaurant? Known as the Fillin’ Station, the one-of-a-kind eatery boasts an incredible fare with an atmosphere to match. Take a look:

The Fillin’ Station is located in downtown Biloxi on Howard Avenue. Just as the name implies, it started off as a gas station – the Standard Oil Station - when it first opened in the 1920s.

Locals have long been a fan of the eatery and its tasty fare. And it hasn’t taken long for national publications to take notice, including CNN, which recently named the Fillin’ Station one of "7 Chic Restaurants Housed in Former Gas Stations."

Inside, you’ll find the comfy, laid back type of digs you’d expect to find in a former gas station.

Grab a seat in the quaint dining area, or…

…if it’s nice outside, enjoy your food on the patio.

Serving up southern cooking with a Creole flair, the menu is loaded with tasty options.

Po’ boys, gumbo, and shrimp and grits are just a few of the yummy local dishes you’ll find.

Burgers, sandwiches, and seafood also make up a portion of the menu. The Main Street Burger, which features a ½-pound patty perfectly seasoned and dressed, is a customer favorite.

In addition to a menu that’s practically overflowing with choices, the eatery features blue plate specials during the week.

Part of what makes the food so good is the fact that it’s all made using "the best and freshest, never frozen, ingredients." From the appetizers to the desserts and everything in between – it’s all made on site.
