Taste The Best Biscuits And Gravy In Minnesota At This Beloved Duluth Eatery

Duluth Grill, located in its namesake Lake Superior city, is one of my favorite restaurants in the Land of 10,000 Lakes - and I know I'm not alone in saying this. I could recommend just about anything on this eatery's menu, but if I were pressed to recommend only one dish, it would probably be the biscuits and gravy. Duluth Grill's variations on this comfort food classic, I think, are some of the best biscuits and gravy in Minnesota.

Duluth Grill is located in the city's Lincoln Park neighborhood, not far from the port's massive iron ore terminals.

Although this eatery is located in a heavily commercial district, adjacent to a motel and a gas station, it does what it can to make its exterior welcoming and pleasant, including planting its own garden boxes around the restaurant's perimeter and offering seating with fire pits for those waiting for a table on chilly morning.

The interior is warm and inviting, filled with friendly faces and the intoxicating aromas of scratch-made food and fresh-ground coffee.

Among the scratch-made items you're smelling are the Duluth Grill's famous biscuits.

These, of course, are used as the base for the restaurant's amazing takes on biscuits and gravy.

You can get your standard, "classic" biscuits and gravy. This consists of one of the aforementioned scratch-made biscuits, served with sausage patties, and smothered in gravy. You also get your choice of a side dish.

Perhaps the restaurant's most popular take on this comfort dish is its "A.T.C. Biscuits and Gravy."

You get your biscuit, of course, but then it's layered with tomato, avocado, and a buttermilk fried chicken breast. And then it's gravied. And yes, you still get a side.

If you're feeling particularly peckish, though - or have no regard for greenery on your breakfast plate - order the "Deluxe Biscuits and Gravy."

With this one, you got your biscuit and you got your sausage patty - which is covered in melted cheddar. Then they throw on the fried chicken breast and top it all with gravy. And it's served with a side. (Unfortunately, it does not come with a pillow for the nap you'll need afterward).

No matter which one you order, you can wash it down with a cup of fresh ground coffee or even a specialty coffee, like a cappuccino or latte.

The Grill's bloody Marys are no joke, either, if you tend to lean that way at brunch.

The biscuits and gravy at Duluth Grill are so good, if you're not from the area, they're worth making a road trip to get! You can learn more about Duluth Grill on its website and find more images of its tantalizing menu options on the Duluth Grill Facebook page.

Have you tried the biscuits and gravy at this beloved Arrowhead eatery? Would you agree that they're some of the best biscuits and gravy in Minnesota - or is there another place whose B&G we should know about? Be sure to share your thoughts in the comments!
