The Small-Town Diner Where Locals Catch Up Over Gigantic Pancakes And Steak Dinners
Have you ever stumbled upon a hidden diner or hole-in-the-wall restaurant, that later became your favorite place to eat? I know that some of my most delicious dining experiences have happened purely by mistake or convenience. This was recently the case when my family and I made a stop at the fabulous North End Diner.
We were on our way to a weekend of water fun at nearby Great Wolf Lodge and our stomachs were starting to rumble. A quick internet search led us to an unassuming little place in the city of Leominster.
We decided to give it a try, and I’m so very glad that we did!
Since it was still early in the day, we all opted for some breakfast food. Everything was fresh and delicious and the portions were plentiful. We ended up leaving with a bag full of scrumptious leftovers!
Everyone in my family found something that they thoroughly enjoyed.
The hot chocolate was definitely a favorite!
I was in the mood for pancakes. However, with more than 15 options, it was very difficult to decide which ones to order.
I finally decided on the banana pancakes which came with sizable portions of hash browns. They were so delicious!
Other breakfast menu items include omelets, corned beef and hash, waffles, breakfast burritos, and country-fried steak and eggs. There is also a great children’s menu.
The North End Diner also has a fabulous lunch menu. Burgers, sandwiches, quesadillas, and steak dishes are best sellers.
The restaurant also features rotating specials which often include corned beef and cabbage, turkey tips, chili, and other yummy comfort food items.
Have you visited the North End Diner? If so, what was your favorite dish? More information can be found on the North End Diner website or the North End Diner Facebook page.
More fantastic comfort food can be found at the Little Depot Diner in Peabody and In A Pickle Restaurant in Waltham.
