Every once in a while, we discover a restaurant with food so amazing that it is worth the wait! Galleria Umberto's Rosticceria in the North End of Boston is one of these special places. The slices at this hidden gem are so legendary, that often the pizza sells out daily. If you are a lover of pizza, Umberto's should definitely be a stop on your next trip to Boston.
Galleria Umberto’s may not be fancy, but the food is unbelievable! Many local Bostonians swear that Umberto’s make’s the best pizza in the city.
The menu consists of Sicilian-style pizza, arancini, and calzones. You can also purchase beer and wine. Prices are extremely affordable.
Umberto’s is open six days a week for only four hours each afternoon.
I highly recommend that you get in line early. Also, be sure to bring your wallet. Galleria’s Umberto’s is a cash-only restaurant.
You may need to wait in line for a while, but believe me, it is worth it!
Umberto's has been a fixture in the North End since 1974. The restaurant hasn’t really changed much over the years.
The food is still authentic and consistently delicious.
Umberto’s turns out a ton of outstanding pizza, but when they are out, that’s it.
If you don’t make it to the counter in time, you will have to try again another day.
