With Its Own Private Backyard, This Incredible Restaurant In Massachusetts Is Perfect For Families

If you have children, you know that dining out can be a touch-and-go situation. Hangry kids, long waits, and fancy food are not a good combination. I always appreciate a restaurant that offers something to keep the kids busy while we wait for our table to be ready or our food to be prepared. Luckily there is a great little family-friendly restaurant not too far from me that does just that. The FARM Bar and Grille in Essex, MA has fantastic food and a backyard full of games to keep everyone happy.

The FARM Bar and Grille specializes in American comfort food. The atmosphere is relaxed and inviting with a large wooden fireplace, wood-paneled ceilings, and fun decor.

The restaurant has a children’s menu with favorites like pizza, chicken fingers, and mac and cheese. There are also lots of kid-friendly food options on the regular menu.

Flatbreads, burgers, nachos, and quesadillas are all popular choices.

And, of course, there are many great food and drink items for adults.

My favorite thing about this restaurant is the patio and private backyard area, which is open during the warmer months.

The large grassy area has a volleyball court and cornhole games.

There are also several picnic tables where you can sit and relax.

It is a great place for the family to play or for kids to burn off some energy while they wait for their meal.
