The Brewery In Massachusetts That Features Farm Animals And Ice Cream

I always enjoy spending a few hours sampling the beer at a local craft brewery. Great drinks, good company, and a relaxed atmosphere always make for a fun afternoon. However, if you have friends in your party who don't drink beer or those who want to bring the kids along, finding an appropriate brewery can be a bit of a challenge. That is unless you live in the Central area of Massachusetts! Here you will find a family-friendly brewery smack dab in the middle of the farm! Everyone in your party will enjoy the food, farm animals, and sweet treats at Stone Cow Brewery in Barre, Massachusetts.

The brewery is housed in a gorgeous old barn that is approximately a century old. The barn is located on the Carter & Stevens Farm, a working dairy farm now in its fifth generation.

The brewery opened in 2016 and has become a destination for many visitors. Not only do people come for the fantastic beer, but they also come for the overall experience.

Stone Cow produces a variety of unique craft beers that are available in both cans and on draft. Favorites include the Farmgirl Sour hibiscus beer and the Cows Out Milk Stout. They also produce a fantastic non-alcoholic root beer!

But beer isn’t the only thing that Stone Cow does well! The brewery also has some really wonderful food. They specialize in farm-to-table cuisine and operate an outdoor BBQ stand in the warmer months and an indoor Barn Kitchen in the winter and spring.

Burgers, smoked ribs, pizza, and fresh salads are just a few of the popular choices.

The kids in your party will have fun watching all of the farm animals. Along with lots of dairy cows, the farm is also home to ducks, horses, and other animals.

And what could be better than fresh ice cream? Delicious cones are available at the property’s farm store, which is open seasonally from April to October!

Stone Cow Brewery is a fun place to visit anytime, but particularly on event days. Throughout the year, the farm and brewery host a variety of festivals, concerts, runs, and family-friendly events.

Have you visited Stone Cow Brewery? What other family-friendly breweries do you enjoy visiting? More Massachusetts breweries worth a visit include The Lost Shoe Brewing and Roasting Company in Marlborough and The Mighty Squirrel Co. in Waltham.
