While there are plenty of spots to take a beautiful stroll in Massachusetts, you need to head to Sandwich to find the most other-worldly boardwalk. This seaside boardwalk on the Cape feels like something from a dream, and stretches on as far as the eye can see. When taking this boardwalk stroll, you'll head over Mill Creek and then find yourself upon a pristine beach. There's truly no better way to relax than to stroll upon this "plank walk" in Sandwich and hear the rushing waters of the ocean.
This boardwalk in Sandwich, Massachusetts truly feels like something straight out of a movie. Records indicate that this 'footbridge' dates back to 1905, though it has been rebuilt since.
It stretches on for 1,350-feet, making it feel seemingly endless. It goes on farther than the naked eye can see.
To each side you'll find incredible salt marshes and beach grass for miles, making for a surreal atmosphere.
This boardwalk goes right over Mill Creek and a marsh, making for a scene out of a fairy tale.
They call this boardwalk the "plank walk", since it's made up of thousands of planks.
As you continue on the boardwalk, you'll hear the sounds of the ocean as you approach the beach.
