I absolutely adore children. I’m a mom and have worked with little ones for many years. While my children usually accompany me to most places that I go, I do appreciate an adult-only night out now and then. On the rare date nights that my husband and I celebrate occasionally, we tend to head to a restaurant that caters to the 21+ crowd. If you are also looking to trade the crayons and kiddie menus for a night of fine dining and delicious drinks, I have found just the place for you. Bogie’s Place in Boston’s Downtown Crossing area is an adults-only steakhouse that you really must try!
No need for sippy cups and baby wipes here! Bogie’s is a fine dining experience complete with white tablecloths, elegant seating, and impeccable service.
The restaurant is actually a hidden speakeasy (more on that in a minute), so it is very cozy and intimate.
Bogie's strives to make its customers' experience quiet and peaceful. They highly discourage the use of cell phones while dining.
I suggest starting by ordering a glass (or bottle) of wine from the extensive wine menu, then picking an appetizer - options include salmon tartare and bone marrow au gratin. Or go ahead and treat yourself to the caviar service!
Now it is onto the meat. Will you choose a tomahawk steak, ribeye, or filet mignon?
Whatever you order, it's bound to be delicious!
The restaurant also makes great salmon, salads, and side dishes.
Not to mention some really fantastic desserts!
I mentioned earlier that Bogie’s is a speakeasy. This makes the restaurant even more fun, although a bit harder to find.
Bogie’s is hidden behind a curtain within the jm Curley’s restaurant (pictured above) in Boston.
To get into the speakeasy, you will have to go through a separate “store” entrance.
Hint - it may be disguised as something totally unexpected!
Have you dined at Bogie’s Place? If so, please tell us about the food and the vibe of the restaurant. More information about this delicious hidden gem can be found on the Bogie’s Place website and the Bogie’s Place Facebook page.
