This Maine Shop Has Over A Dozen Types Of Fudge That Will Make Your Mouth Water

The sweetest things come in the smallest packages and that's how we feel about this wonderful little shop in Portland. Located in the Old Port, you might miss it if you're walking down the street without looking. But, once you find it you may never want to leave. With tons of different types of candy you'll need to make some hard choices about what to take home. But, trust us when we say to make sure you have room for their homemade fudge!

The Old Port Candy Co is one of the sweetest places you can visit in the popular tourist town of Portland.

The unmistakable smell of all things sugar hits you right when you walk in the door.

And while you can get any number of popular candies from your childhood...

...including those beloved jelly beans and lots of chocolate, it's the fudge that we love!

The fudge here is totally homemade and it's created right in the shop.

There are always more than a dozen different flavors from which to choose.

They change daily, so a visit on Tuesday could be totally different than stepping inside on Wednesday.

That means you're going to want to plan a visit for every day of the week.

They estimate that they've created more than 100 different types of fudge, including things like cookies n' cream.

And we love that flavors are seasonal. Halloween saw the creation of "The Caramel Reese's Monster Mash" fudge with chocolate, Reese's Pieces, caramel & peanut butter swirl.

For Mother's Day, they've got "Mom’s Favorite," a chocolate orange flavor combo that can't be beat.

Things here are always creative, so even if you don't leave with a few pounds of fudge you'll love marveling over the different concoctions.
