Playfully Delicious, You’ve Never Had A Sandwich Like The Ones At Turkey And The Wolf In New Orleans
Turkey and the Wolf in New Orleans serves some of the best and most unique sandwiches in town.
Sandwich lovers, this one's for you. Sure, New Orleans is known for po'boys, but let's take a moment to appreciate where it all began: the sandwich. For some reason, sandwiches just taste better when someone else makes them. There's one place in New Orleans that's serving up some of the best sandwiches in town, and that's the Turkey and the Wolf. Come hungry, these aren't your average sandwiches!
Tucked away on Jackson Avenue in the Irish Channel, Turkey and the Wolf has been a local hotspot since it opened in 2016.
This locally owned and operated eatery quickly became a hit with sandwich lovers in the neighborhood, and one thing is for sure: it’s worth the wait.
There’s typically a line at this quirky sandwich shop, and for good reason! In 2017, Bon Appetit named Turkey and the Wolf the best restaurant in America, and they’ve been on a steady stream of success ever since.
When it comes to the menu, you’ll find two sections: sandwiches and not sandwiches.
On the “not sandwiches” side, you’ll find massive salads and specialty dishes like tacos and fried pot pies.
But the real stars of the show here are the sandwiches.
They even have a beastly burger that you should try.
Featuring two all-beef patties dressed with cheese, lettuce, onions, tomatoes, and pickles, this classic is one burger lovers will especially love.
These aren’t your average sandwiches, either…
And they’re huge, so come hungry!
Remember everyone's favorite bologna sandwich as a kid? Well throw that out the window, because the bologna sandwich here will make you rethink everything you were taught as a kid.
Hearty slabs of bologna, hot mustard, shredded lettuce, cheese and a healthy handful of potato chips to get that good crunch that just takes a sandwich from good to great.
