When it comes to unique restaurants, New Orleans certainly has a lot of them. But the northshore of Lake Pontchartrain, there's a restaurant that can offer you a dining experience truly like no other. Called Lola's, this restaurant is truly special---the food is amazing, and the serve it all up in a train car!
For 10 years now, LOLA in Covington has been cooking up a storm at the old Train Depot.
They were actually able to put their kitchen inside a caboose!
The owners of the restaurant are a dynamic couple.
Keith & Nealy Frentz were both culinary school graduates who worked up the ranks at Brennan's.
They eventually opened LOLA in 2006 and have been serving up delicious foods ever since.
They have some truly special meals there!
The appetizers are simply amazing.
This Chicken Liver Pate Crostini is delicious.
And of course the entrees are to die for.
An amazing Amberjack fish dish that I want to eat right now!
And the best part---they are installing a new dining car for parties!
So you can enjoy delicious food while relaxing in a train---does it get any better than this?
