Everyone loves Mexican food, and if you live in Louisiana, you likely love Cajun food as well - so why not marry the two for a match made in heaven? That’s exactly what you’ll find at Tia Juanita’s Fish Camp over in Lake Charles. Let’s check it out.
Tucked away on Ryan Street in Lake Charles, Tia Juanita’s Fish Camp is the second location for owners Ricky Martinez and Susan Lalonde.
Their first location in Beaumont, Texas opened in 2013 and then the Lake Charles location opened up in 2015.
Funky and eclectic best describes the vibe when you walk in, but that’s just the beginning.
The flavors at this restaurant are just as bold and colorful as the atmosphere at this family-friendly joint.
The menu is full of just about all your favorite Mexican and Cajun dishes.
From nachos to shrimp and grits, their menu perfectly blends both of their cultures.
But it doesn’t stop there - you’ll also find several Mexican-Cajun fusion dishes that are truly one-of-a-kind, like boudin and shrimp quesadillas, boudin enchiladas, and more.
So it doesn’t matter whether you’re in the mood for Mexican or Cajun cuisine, Tia Juanita’s Fish Camp has something for everyone.
And they’re open seven days a week!
