The Unassuming Louisiana Restaurant That Serves The Best Seafood You’ve Ever Tried

We have access to some of the freshest seafood around, plus we have scores of incredibly talented chefs to cook it, so we tend to expect the best when it comes to seafood. We've found a restaurant in Louisiana that may seem unassuming from the outside, but on the inside they're cooking some of the best seafood you've ever tried.

Welcome to Riverfront, a lovely little restaurant located in Abbeville.

Jennifer Leblanc ad Brian Rush opened the restaurant in 1997 and quickly became a community favorite. Unfortunately, the restaurant suffered a devastating fire in 2012 that forced them to rebuild in a new location about a mile from their original site.

The inside of Riverfront is reminiscent of a cozy lodge.

The high vaulted ceilings and fireplace near the bar really bring an inviting atmosphere to the restaurant.

And the outdoor seating area is perfect on a nice day.

The views of the Vermilion River are simply stunning.

As for the menu? Well you can expect to see all of the classic Louisiana favorites.

Alligator, shrimp, fish, and oysters served with their own unique twists.

Just look at their signature seafood platter.

Fried shrimp, oysters, catfish, crab claws, stuffed crab and stuffed shrimp. Yum!
