The Best Bread Pudding In The World Is Located At This Louisiana Gas Station Turned Restaurant

Marilynn’s Place in Louisiana offers exceptional bread pudding and a variety of Cajun and Creole dishes in a unique, open-air setting.

There are many different versions of bread pudding, but Louisiana-style (or New Orleans-style) is definitely our favorite. A boozy sauce just makes everything better, right? If you have a sweet tooth, then you need to make your way over to Marilynn’s Place, a funky little restaurant that’s home to some of the best bread pudding in Louisiana.

Welcome to Marilynn’s Place!

You might do a double-take as you pass the building, since it’s not every day that you stumble upon a restaurant in a building that was once a gas station.

They use the building’s exterior to their advantage, bringing the outdoors inside when the weather is cooperating.

A quick flick of the garage doors and the eatery becomes an open-air joint that welcomes everyone.

The menu features a wide range of Cajun and Creole dishes.

From crawfish étouffée to overstuffed po'boys, Marilynn's Place does it all.

Just be sure to come hungry. As you can see in the photo above, the portions are very generous.

They even serve beignets all day long, so be sure to grab a few for the table.

Or for the drive home!

But the real stars of the show at Marilynn's Place are the house-made desserts.

Specifically, the bread pudding.

Just look at that piece of perfection.

Served warm with a healthy drizzle of a chocolate-espresso sauce, this is one place where eating dessert first is allowed.

Treat yourself!
