The Oldest Restaurant In New Orleans, Antoine’s, Also Has Some Of The Best Lunch Deals

Antoine’s in New Orleans offers a historic and affordable 3-course lunch menu.

Too often, we don't celebrate lunch as it should be. Sure, you could just make a sandwich yourself or just grab something quick from a neighborhood eatery, but what's the fun in that when you could treat yourself to a 3-course lunch from some of the most talented chefs in the country? Antoine's has one of the best lunch menus in New Orleans, and it won't put a dent in your wallet, either. Win-win! Let's take a closer look.

Established in 1840, Antoine’s not only the oldest restaurant in New Orleans, but also the oldest family-run restaurant in the country.

Now run by 5th generation family members, it all started with Antoine Alciatore, a young 18-year old from France who moved to New Orleans from New York with the hoped to create the restaurant of his dreams.

Located in the heart of the French Quarter, it’s hard not to be impressed when you walk into such a historic building like this one.

Each one of the 14 dining rooms is more exquisite than the next. You’ll feel like royalty from the moment you arrive.

Antoine’s is an ideal spot for celebratory occasions and special events.

Or just a random weeknight when you’re wanting to treat yourself.

Antoine’s has created some of the most iconic dishes New Orleans has ever seen.

Oysters Rockefeller, Eggs Sardou, and Pompano en Papillote are just a few of the notable dishes that have come out of that kitchen.

While their jazz brunches and dinners are both excellent times to visit Antoine’s, their weekday lunches might just be the best deal you’ll find in the city.

Offered Monday - Saturday from 11:30 a.m - 2 p.m. , their lunch menu is a fixed 3-course meal that will dazzle your taste buds. And the best part is that the price is based on the year, so for all of this year, you can enjoy this spectacular lunch for $20.20!

For your appetizer, you’ll have the option between their charbroiled oysters or a seasonal salad.

Right now they are featuring a winter salad with spiral carrots, cranberries, walnuts, feta cheese and a tangy satsuma vinaigrette. Yum!

For your entree, you’ll have a hard time choosing between their shrimp & grits, grilled sirloin, or buttermilk trout.

Honestly, you can’t go wrong with any of these options.

Just save room for dessert, because you’ll end your meal with either their sinfully delicious pecan bread pudding or sweet potato cheesecake.

So good you’ll find yourself resisting the use to lick the plate.
