Kentucky is world-renowned for its bourbon, and this spirited devotion is felt all across the state. The most recent addition for Bluegrass bourbonites is a brand-new bourbon-themed pub located in Ashland, Kentucky. Tomcat Bourbon & Brew House is an amazing spot that's quickly become a favorite among Bluegrass bourbon enthusiasts, and definitely needs to be added to your Kentucky bucket list!

Kentucky and bourbon go hand in hand. This is just the way it is. From an official Bourbon Trail and numerous distilleries to bourbon shops and bourbon-themed accommodations, your bourbon-loving heart will be very happy in the Bluegrass!

So of course when a new pub pops up in Kentucky, you can bet it will have something to do with bourbon.

Located in the heart of downtown Ashland, this new business boasts an antique-style bar, staging area for live music, and, of course, lots and lots of Kentucky bourbon.

The bar itself is a showstopper; a solid oak piece that anchors Tomcat Bourbon & Brew House to the larger bourbon narrative.

The bar was originally located in a Chicago pub in the early 1900s. It was removed and sat in an antique dealer's warehouse until the Tomcat owners rescued it, personally transported it all the way to Kentucky, and brought it back to life, lovingly restoring this winsome wood piece to its former glory. It's a stunning antique, and is all original, save for the bar top, which had to be replaced.

This refurbished old bar counter really sets the mood of this place, which, in spite of opening in 2021, feels like it's been around for ages.
