Kentucky is famous for some of its traditional drinks. Residents know about their bourbon and whiskey, but here's some added cocktail mixes to rep the state at your next gathering. These cocktails will have you refreshed and thinking of the great state where it came from.

1. Mint Julep

The state's most famous drink, was introducing by U.S. Senator Henry Clay during the 18th century.

2. Bourbon Ball

Use that Kentucky made, Maker's Mark for your bourbon ball.

3. Kentucky Bourbon Barrel Ale

Technically a bottled beer, this bourbon infused beer is a state favorite.

4. Grey Goose Oaks Lily

This is the official drink of the Kentucky Oaks. It features, Grey Goose Vodka, Sweet and Sour Mix, Triple Sec and Cranberry Juice. Sounds like a winner to me.

5. Kentucky Rain

This Jalapeno Infused Agave drink will have your senses kicking.

6. Kentucky Sidecar

Some prefer this to the Derby Day Julep, it's a sidecar with a twist adding in tangy citrus and smoky bourbon.

7. Midnight Cowboy

This drink is definitely one best sipped after your meal, hence the "Midnight" in the name. It's a rich and creamy mix of bourbon, rum and heavy cream.

8. Kentucky Mule

This mix of ginger beer with a splash of lime juice is similar to the bourbon-based take on it, Dark 'n' Stormy.

9. Kentucky B&B

Simply Bourbon and Benedictine, can't get any simpler.

10. Louisville Cooler

This honors the city and is a refreshing blend of orange juice, lime juice, powdered sugar, and you guessed it, bourbon.
