The Mouthwatering Kansas Bakery That’ll Make Your Sweet Tooth Go Crazy

Who else has a sweet tooth? Sometimes when you're on the road and you've got a craving for something sweet, there's nothing better than a stop at a small town Kansas bakery. When you've got a hankering for sweet things and/or lunch, this is the perfect place to be.

Welcome to Alma Bakery & Sweet Shoppe, a beautiful spot to place an order or stop by and grab sweets of many flavors.

The owner, Jeanette Rohleder, purchased a bakery in 2001 and has been crafting tasty treats ever since, moving to the current location after outgrowing the last building. Through word of mouth, customers from all over the US stop by on their travels for a sweet treat.

Of all their sweets, my favorites are probably the kolaches, which come in several flavors, all of them sweet and delicious.

Other pastries like cinnamon rolls and various turnovers are also tasty, and it'll be hard not to order one of everything before you leave.

They also make cakes, cookies, and cupcakes for your event, as long as you order them ahead of time.

In addition to sweets and pastries, they also make fresh breads, lunch specials, and more. Don't be afraid to grab lunch before your sweets so you don't spoil yourself! Alma Bakery is open from 6:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. Monday through Friday, and from 6:30 to noon on Saturday.
