The Beloved Kansas Swedish Restaurant That Has Just Reopened

The Swedish Crown restaurant in Lindsborg has reopened with a menu featuring traditional Swedish dishes after being gifted to Bethany College.

Editor's Note: The Swedish Crown is permanently closed.

One of Kansas' favorite restaurants sadly closed a little while ago, and while that is unfortunate, it's a good thing Kansans never give up on what they love the most. You probably have a sweet tooth, but do you have a Swede tooth that needs a treat? This Kansas Swedish restaurant would have been dearly missed if it weren't reopened just a little while ago! We're glad to have them back.

Welcome again to The Swedish Crown, a restaurant we lost for a short while but has had new life breathed into it.

We were saddened to hear that our favorite Lindsborg stop was closing soon but thanks to the owners gifting it to Bethany College, it has recently reopened with only slight changes to the menu.

They thankfully still serve Swedish meatballs, or there may have been a small riot. Other Swedish items featured on the new menu include a pea soup called artsoppa, swedish pancakes, ostkaka, and plenty of lingonberries to go around in every way possible.

They also have a brunch menu for the weekend, including waffles, breakfast plates, and buffet options. Who doesn't love a morning buffet to start the day?

Even their burgers have a bit of Swedish flair, because it would be no fun to just have a normal burger in such a Swedish place.

If you've got a sweet tooth to go along with your Swede tooth, we think you'll love their desserts just as much as their meatballs. One bite, and you're hooked!

The Swedish Crown is open from 11 a..m. to 2 p.m. and 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday through Thursday, 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. and 5 to 9 p.m. on Fridays, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. and 5 to 9 p.m. on Saturdays, and 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Sundays.
