Every Kansas Carnivore’s Dream Should Include Steak At Meridy’s Restaurant & Lounge

It's no wonder that a state full of farming, cows, and hunting loves their meat. For all those meat-and-potatoes type people in Kansas, steak is something we can't get enough of. Today we venture to Russell, Kansas, where a certain steak is just as fulfilling as their rich local history.

That diamond in the rough is none other than Meridy's Restaurant & Lounge, a carnivore's heaven just waiting for you.

Meridy's idea of a small steak is most people's medium or large, and is plenty for filling most stomachs.

I personally like Kansas steak best when it's covered in mushrooms and/or onions, but we won't judge you if you like them plain. As long as you aren't dipping it in ketchup, right?

In addition to these delicious monster steaks, we love their other fare if we still have room to eat after the meat. They also make great fried sides, fried chicken, and fish.

If you're already acquainted with their steaks, you may want to check out their pork chops and other meats. They won't be as large, but they're definitely just as tasty. More room for sides and dessert!

Meridy's Restaurant & Lounge is open from 6 a.m. to 10 p.m. Monday through Saturday, and 7 a.m. to 10 p.m. on Sundays.
