Welcome to the historic Wolf Hotel in Ellinwood, Kansas. It's a beautiful spot for dinner and a room to stay in for the night, but we're here for what's underground.

Ellinwood is known for having underground tunnel systems used up until the 1940s. Many were part of an underground city full of brothels, bars, gambling, an other places of business, both legal and illegal. The tunnels have lasted into present-day, and some of them run under the Wolf Hotel.

The hotel was built in 1894, with underground tunnel rooms included. Those rooms underneath the hotel were many things over the years, including Joe's Snack Counter, a sample room, a library, a gym, and more.

The Wolf Hotel has turned this underground room into a secret saloon, with a password and everything. The password changes nightly or weekly, and it allows you to get into the bar.
