The beautiful, remote Soldier Creek Winery is home to some of the best Iowa wines around.

With 10 varieties of cold-hardy grapes, this family-owned vineyard produces more than a dozen different wines.

The French-American hybrid grapes include five reds: Frontenac, St. Croix, Geneva Red, Maréchal Foch, Marquette; and five whites: Frontenac Gris, Frontenac Blanc, La Crescent, St. Pepin, and Brianna.

The varieties and vintages produced on site at Soldier Creek are some of the highest regarded Iowa wines, with dozens of awards, medals, and accolades to brag about.

Soldier Creek Wines are available in dozens of small town Iowa wine shops, but nothing is better than visiting the winery and tasting them for yourself.

Visit the tasting room on Friday, Saturday or Sunday to sample any or all of their wines, free of charge.

Every Friday night, the vineyard hosts live music and tastings. It's the perfect way to relax after a busy week!
