The restaurant is located on Saylorville Lake, just north of Des Moines. The lake is a reservoir on the Des Moines River that covers nearly 26,000 acres. It’s one of the state’s most popular boating destinations – there are several boat landings and some great beaches.
When you’re out enjoying a beautiful day of boating on Saylorville Lake, you might never want to come to shore, even if you’re a little hungry. Thanks to this restaurant, you won’t have to make landfall quite yet.
The restaurant is a more recent venture. It started serving drinks in May of 2021, even before the kitchen was open. It planned an official grand opening for Memorial Day. When you’re boating on Lake Saylorville, the restaurant is a must-visit.
You can enjoy live music at the restaurant – shows take place throughout the summer. The bar always has something refreshing waiting for you.
Fried cheese curds taste even better when you’re out on the water. They are perfectly cooked. Other tasty dining options here include walking tacos and cheeseburgers.
