Celebrate Fall With This Exhilarating Heartland Wine and Ale Trail in Indiana

Do you love sampling seasonal wines and ales in the Hoosier state? Indiana is home to an incredible number of vineyards and breweries that offer tastings and tours. This fall, check out some of the best in the state on this heartland wine tour. This wine tour goes through eastern Indiana and Ohio, so we've recapped some of the best stops along the way in the Hoosier state.

1. Wilson Winery - Modoc

First stop on this tour is Wilson Wines in Modoc, Indiana. This family owned winery is where you'll find two incredible finds: the Elderberry and the Applespice wine. This hospitable stop will have you feeling right at home. But don't get too cozy - there's more to come!

2. New Boswell Brewery and Tap Room - Richmond

Next up is an incredible brewery in historic Richmond. New Boswell Brewery and Tap Room is a modern brewery with an incredible selection of beer and ale. Be sure to try their famous McFly Irish Red (named after the owner's dog) and check out their seasonal brews.

3. J and J Winery - Richmond

For great wine and a stellar view, check out J and J Winery. Depending on the weather you can sit inside or out to sip on their delicious wines. They also have a European style brewery, as well as a restaurant (complete with a wood burning stove for delicious pizza).

4. Kennedy Vineyard and Big Rack Brewery - New Madison

This winery and brewery is a favorite spot for many Hoosiers. The vineyard is nestled along a 10 acre farm, offering an incredible view as you taste their wine and craft beers and munch on appetizers.

5. Norris English Pub - Liberty

If you love comfort food washed down with a rich beer, you'll love this quaint little pub. With 8 rotating craft beers each week and cuisine like fish and chips, chicken pot pie, scotch eggs, and fried pickles, you can't go wrong!

6. Roscoe's Coffee Bar and Tap Room - Richmond

This former school warehouse is now a hip and trendy coffeehouse and tap room. Here you'll find excellent service and a fantastic range of regional tap craft beers to sample.

7. Melton Renzulli Wines - Richmond

This local treasure in Richmond features homemade local wines that are made from grapes transported from all over the world. If you're a true wine aficionado, you don't want to pass this place by!
