Sometimes, all you need is a little bit of nostalgia. Thankfully, there are a number of wonderfully nostalgic locations in Indiana - you just need to know where to look! One of my favorite things is an old-school diner, and even though I wasn't alive in the 1950s, these places still evoke a strange sense of longing in my soul. Maybe in another life I frequently wore a poodle skirt - who knows; what I do know is that there just so happens to be an old-school 1950s diner in Indiana just waiting to provide you with all the shakes and malts your soul could ever hope for.
Welcome to Rock-Cola 50s Cafe, where you can step back in time for a little while as you enjoy an awesome meal.
Open seven days a week, this awesome little nosh spot is ideal for anyone looking for a little old-school charm.
You'll notice one thing upon first walking in: the entire interior is like stepping back to the old days.
With pastel pink walls, checkered flooring and all the nostalgic decor you'd probably expect from a place like this one.
The next thing you'll notice is that the menu is full of amazing options, and the portions are very generous.
The entire staff is warm and friendly, and before too long, you'll feel like you've been here 1,000 times... even if it's your first time.
You can't really go wrong with anything on the menu - breakfast, lunch, or dinner.
Everything you can choose from is excellent; there is an assortment of delights no matter the time of day... given that the shop's open, anyway!
Whatever it is you're craving, you'll probably find it here - given that it's comfort food, of course.
I'm not sure which is better: the awesome interior decor of the restaurant, or the wonderfully made-with-love meals there are to be had here. Both? Both are good.
If you were to go online and look Rock Cola 50s Diner up, you'll find a large number of rave reviews - mostly four stars or higher!
And once you've finished your meal, you'll have the full picture as to why this is. Seriously, this is a wonderful shop... be sure to stop.
After all, the friendly folks here will be waiting for you.
In here, time never passes... it stays still.
Rock-Cola Cafe is so mom-and-pop that it doesn't have an official website, but you can still check out its official Facebook page for the most up-to-date hours, specials, and information.
