At The Barn Winery was founded in 2014 for the same reason many vineyards exist. The owners were passionate about, and also really good at, making wine. After winning awards, and retiring, it was time to open a place that catered to the public.
Though the winery has only been around for about four years, the owners have been making wine for more than 40 years as a hobby.
Located in the township of Logan near Lawrenceburg, this countryside winery grows many types of grapes, including Concord, Chancellor, and Muscadine. Berries, apples, peaches, and pears are also grown on-site.
Guests enjoy stunning views in addition to amazing wine. The barn is from the mid-1800s, and in combination with the pond, makes for an idyllic place to enjoy your rustic, Indiana-grown vino.
The tasting room is open Friday from 4 to 8 p.m. as well as Saturday and Sunday from 1 to 8 p.m. Try anything for free. Enjoy dry, semi, and sweet wines in red or white. You can even order wine slushies here.
There are many activities that take place at this countryside winery throughout the year. You can schedule a wine glass or porch sign painting class, and there is also a schedule of live music performances.
