Here in Idaho, we take our huckleberries very seriously. Throughout the year, you may crave this delicious berry and find yourself asking "when are huckleberries in season?" This unique berry is found in all types of food but our favorite is the huckleberry pie. In the northern part of the state, you will find one Idaho bakery that has taken this delicious berry and made a pie that is incredible. In fact, we would even say that this huckleberry pie is the best in Idaho (or even the entire world!). Don’t believe us? Head to the Pie Hut in Sandpoint, Idaho, and try a slice for yourself.

The Pie Hut is an adorable bakery in Sandpoint. This bakery sells all types of delicious food items from tasty soups to homemade pies.

While the outside of this bakery doesn’t look like much, the inside is fun, colorful, and lively. Plus, the smells alone will make you want to come back.

On warm days, you can even sit outside on the colorful patio and enjoy whatever delicious food item you choose.

The Pie Hut is the perfect place to go for lunch. Here, you will find a variety of panini and hot deli sandwiches, soups, pot pies, and more.

However, regardless of what you order, you must try a slice of the huckleberry pie. In fact, people have driven (and flown!) all over to enjoy a slice of this pie — it’s that good!

You can purchase an entire pie or a single slice. Either way, you won’t regret it.

While the huckleberry pie is fabulous, try a slice of the other pie flavors as well. Every day you’ll find quite the selection of pies to choose from, so this really isn’t an easy choice.
