Sweetwater Coffeehouse in Sautee Nacoochee offers organic coffee, homemade pottery, and a charming outdoor dining experience.

We've got a lot of different landscapes in the Peach State, but it's tough not to love our marvelous mountains. There's something so quaint and romantic about the mighty hills of Northeast Georgia. Driving through the beautiful region is such a treat: you never know what sort of small businesses you'll find tucked away, hidden in the woods. One of our favorites is Sweetwater Coffeehouse in Sautee Nacoochee, just outside of Helen. This delightful coffee shop has amazing beverages, great food, and wonderful homemade pottery for sale.

This quaint little shop was founded in 1995 and specializes in organic, fair-trade coffee, but there's more here even if you're not a fan of java!

Stop on in and check out the extensive menu of drinks and pastries.

The outside dining area is a delight. Shaded by trees, it's the perfect spot to enjoy the natural beauty of this region.

Really, can you beat this valley's views? They are absolutely incredible.

The store is chock-filled with gorgeous handmade pottery.

The northeast region of Georgia is famous for its many clay and pottery studios.

The shop is home to colorful bowls, mugs, and knick knacks. Whether you're looking for items to decorate your own home or a gift for a loved one, there's a lot to choose from here.

You can also find handmade baskets and artwork here.

This is one of our favorite small coffee shops in Georgia and you're sure to agree after just one visit.
