A Georgia Dining Experience So Exceptional, It’s Internationally Recognized
For an ultimate fine dining in Georgia, every detail has been considered at Michelin-star winner Lazy Betty in Midtown Atlanta
For exceptional fine dining in Georgia, look to its capital city. While Atlanta has been making waves on the culinary scene for many years, it finally has the Michelin stars to prove it internationally. As of 2024, the city has nine restaurants awarded with the prestigious Michelin star, a recognition that began the year prior when The Michelin Guide debuted its inaugural Atlanta edition.
The fine dining destination Lazy Betty was among the first five restaurants to receive one-star recognition in 2023. Since then, it's made a big move to preserve and enhance its status as the place to "live unhurried" while enjoying the finest ingredients from thoughtfully selected sources locally and around the world.

After relocating from Candler Park to Midtown in early 2024, Lazy Betty continues to impress with its delightful, modern and thoughtful cuisine. Much thought went into the new space to ensure guests feel comfortably primed to sample its chef's innovative flavor combinations.
Warm woods, restorative plants, soothing lighting and luxurious fabrics create an inviting atmosphere throughout all of the rooms, from the main dining area to the cozy bar and lounge. Velvet curtains envelop two exclusive spaces for private dining.

The restaurant is best known for its multi-course, reservation-only, $225-per-person tasting menu. The wine pairing is an additional $165. Both fees include an 20% gratuity for excellent service, which is as foundational as the flavors and atmosphere here.
As for the menu, Michelin describes Lazy Betty as a place where "Chef Ron Hsu and Chef/co-owner Aaron Phillips oversee a contemporary tasting menu with clever combinations that highlight regional ingredients."

The tasting menus typically include seven or more courses that vary by season and availability of ingredients. For example, the fall 2024 menu includes options including cured hiramasa with Frog Hollow Farm stone fruit, a green peanut and shoyo emulsion, and crispy ginger. Another course features poached Icelandic cod and calamari with beurre blanc, chorizo, squid ink, and allium blooms.

In the new location, Lazy Betty added an a la carte menu available only to walk-in patrons of the bar and lounge spaces. There, you can try the restaurant's oyster or caviar services and many other options including sunchoke fry bread, lobster and corn tortellini, and a chef’s selection of petit fours, to name a few.

And then there are the fabulous drinks—a selection of premium bourbons, masterfully crafted cocktails, and a thoughtful wine list emphasizing sustainability-minded, family-owned, and minority-led wineries whenever possible. Lazy Betty’s commitment to inclusivity is also evident in its continued commitment to providing a KultureCity-certified sensory-inclusive space, which is designed to accommodate those with sensory processing needs.

For an exceptional experience enyoing fine dining in Georgia—and the world—Lazy Betty is the place.
While the tasting menu price point also may be exceptional to many budgets, it's geared to the time and thoughtfulness of the offerings, from ingredient sourcing and preparation to creating ideal environments and service. Plus, the new bar menu and spaces allow more access to sample the full experience before you commit, if you prefer.
