If you're a bibliophile like me, one of the first things you look for when traveling to a new city is to check if there's an independent bookstore there. These magical places may be going the way of the dinosaur, but for those of us who love to read, they are beloved, irreplaceable spots that could never be taken over by big box stores or online retailers. There are still plenty of wonderful indie bookstores in Georgia, and one of the best we've come across lately is the magnificent The Inside Story in Hoschton, GA. This places combines two of the best things in the world: coffee and books. Really, does it get any better than that?!

The Inside Story is tucked away in a little strip mall in this small city in Jackson County.

Inside, you'll find plenty to delight you if you love coffee and books. This is such a cozy spot, with books lining the wall and shelves everywhere you look.

The cafe serves up a wide array of beverages, with dozens of coffee flavors to choose from.

You can also pick up a few yummy baked goods.

If you have the kids with you, there's an adorable little kids' area with plenty for them to check out.

From old-time classics to newer books, there's something for all ages here.

You'll feel right at home in this wonderful little shop.
