Fireman Derek’s Bake Shop is not a large pie shop by any means—you’ll be lucky to fit more than 20 people inside comfortably.

Fireman Derek’s Bake Shop originally began when Derek Kaplan, a city firefighter in Miami, began selling key lime pies to local restaurants.

The pies from Fireman Derek were so delicious, the idea spiraled into a tiny pie shop in Wynwood, Florida which opened in 2014.

Today, guests can visit the pie shop and indulge in a delicious and often rotating selection of pies that you cannot find elsewhere.

Everything is made from scratch, from the very bottom of the pie pan…

…all the way to the decadent toppings that bring the whole pie together.

You can grab a slice for one, or take the whole darn pie, this is a pie judgement free zone.

Just remember to get there early—these soul-satisfying pies sell out faster than you can say "Key Lime."
