GenX Tavern in Tampa is a fun-filled tavern created for people who are fond of a time period where jeans were whitewashed and VHS tapes ruled the world.

Honoring ‘80s and ‘90s pop culture, this bar and restaurant is a fun place that will make you feel like you stepped into a time machine.

There are old school arcade games, regular board games, and even Super Nintendo set up to play your favorite games.

But this is more than just your average bar/hang-out space—the menu here also offers a dose of pub fare meets retro favorites.

First of all, remember how Capri Suns were all the rage decades ago? Well, GenX Tavern brought back these juice packs, but this time, made them more “adult-friendly.”

So while you’re sippin’ on a little bit of nostalgia and enjoying the creative decor, you can peruse the menu which is bursting with elevated pub fare.

Start with the “Party Starters” which include fried ravioli, waffle fry nachos, corn dog nuggets, or fried pickle chips.

The “Tavern Burgers” include some film title references, like the Raising Arizona burger or the Point Break burger.

But their desserts are likely the most wildly inventive of them all—they have Dunkaroos with animal crackers with sweet confetti dip, and deep-fried Twinkies!
