Little Jim Bait & Tackle is a casual spot in Fort Pierce where you can get all of your bait and tackle but also a delicious seafood meal.

Established back in 1944 from an abandoned Navy guard shack, this waterfront spot offers both fish food and human food, just with different menus.

The area where Little Jim’s sits now was built during WWII as a Navy guard post and training ground for SEAL teams. Soon after the training ground shut down, the shack became the place to get a cold beer and bait.

The human food menu offers a wide variety of appetizers, from smoked fish dip to peel and eat shrimp and even some boiled peanuts thrown into the mix.

There are also a variety of burgers and sandwiches on the menu, too, from the Cuban with mojo pork, ham, pickles, and melted provolone to the Blackened shrimp po’boy.

There are also a ton of tropical-inspired drinks on the menu which pair perfectly with waterfront views and the Florida sunshine.

Even after your meal you can rent kayaks and paddle your way around the bay, enjoying all of the fresh air.
