Most people love ribs, but when a BBQ joint can make an amazing brisket, pulled pork, or pulled chicken sandwich - that's when they really win my heart. Luckily, Delaware is home to some amazing smokehouses and BBQ spots that I can almost smell, just from writing about them... mmmmm. These restaurants make some of the best BBQ in Delaware and they really impress with their pulled meats and brisket sandwich platters. I know what I'm getting for lunch today!

1. Locale BBQ Post, Wilmington

Locale is a newer spot in Wilmington that serves up some of the freshest BBQ in the state. I love stopping in for lunch and grabbing a pulled pork sandwich, sweet tea, and a bag of their homemade BBQ chips. It doesn't get much better than this.1014 Lincoln St Wilmington, DE

2. Meat Mechanics, Dover

Meat Mechanics is guaranteed to be a frequent stop of anyone who lives in or passes through Kent County. They serve up some great ribs and chicken, but their brisket sandwich is one of the best I've ever had.1466 E. Lebanon Rd, Dover, DE

3. Fat Daddy's BBQ, Georgetown

Oh man, my mouth is watering just thinking of the brisket sandwich I tried the first time I went to Fat Daddys in Georgetown. If you try just one thing on the menu, make it that.13203 Seashore Hwy, Georgetown, DE

4. Oh Phoebe's, Smyrna

Oh Phoebe's has a storefront, but you probably want to catch their food truck in Smyrna hiding in the Advance Auto Parks parking lot for the best they have to offer. If you're out shopping or running errands, this is the perfect place to stop for a quick bite to eat and an amazing pulled pork sandwich.320 N Dupont Blvd,

5. Philippine Smoked BBQ, Elsmere

Philippine Smoked BBQ is one of the most unique restaurants in Delaware, and the Filipino food they serve is absolutely worth trying. However, sometimes you just want a brisket sandwich, or perhaps some pulled pork. Swing by this spot when you're out running errands near Elsmere. 6. Uncle John's Smokehouse, Milford

Uncle John's Smokehouse is great, and I absolutely love their ribs, but they make our best BBQ Sandwich list for the unbelievable Smokehouse Philly Brisket sandwich, with onions and peppers. Seriously, make a trip out to Milford just for this sandwich. Amazing.914 NW 10th. St.

Of course Bethany Blues makes the list! Every one of their BBQ sandwiches is perfect - especially when you pile them high with crispy onions! This is my favorite Lewes restaurant, and that's saying a LOT.18385 Coastal Hwy

9. Young's BBQ, Middletown

Young's BBQ in Middletown is a little known place hiding in a strip mall, but don't be put off by that! This place is the real deal, and the bbq sauce takes a great pulled pork sandwich and kicks it up to an AWESOME one.401 E Main St, Middletown, DE

10. Charlie Ks BBQ, Ocean View

Charlie K's is a summer tradition for me, because I end up near Ocean View a lot, and can't pass this place up. I love their pulled chicken - the sauce and seasonings is beyond delicious.95 Atlantic Ave

Smokin' Dz makes the list because of their incredible flavor on the Smokin D Dog! If you haven't tried it and you like BBQ, you're missing out.
