With Its Own Carousel, This Connecticut Seafood Shack Is Perfect For Families

Dining out with the entire family can be a bit of a headache, especially if your kids are feeling particularly active. It seems like bringing them inside a fancy restaurant is the quickest way to get them loud and boisterous! If you're looking for a great family restaurant in Connecticut that manages to be just as delightful for the adults in the group, you won't want to miss a visit to Lenny & Joe's Fish Tale. The restaurant has two Nutmeg State locations, with one in Westbrook, but we're focusing on the location of this family restaurant in Madison, CT because it's got an amazing carousel. This is one of our favorite low-key seafood shacks in Connecticut, and it's the perfect place to dine when you've got kids that need to burn off a bit of energy. Check out your kids' favorite new restaurant!

Each of the Lenny & Joe's location is a casual spot that's perfect for a quick meal out with the family.

The restaurant started way back in 1979 as a roadside clam shack with just four picnic tables.

Both locations have a relaxed, comfortable environment that will make you feel right at home whether you're dining inside or enjoying the outdoors.

Speaking of the outdoors, the Madison area has a great spot for kids to run around, and best of all, it's got its own carousel!

The ten-rider carousel is operated seasonally and all proceeds from its operation are donated to local charities.

Of course, a carousel alone doesn't make a restaurant successful... but the food certainly does!

Whether you love it baked or fried, you can get all kinds of tasty seafood here.

And, it's Connecticut, so you know the lobster rolls are amazing!

If you're at the Madison location and want to look around, why not check out the beautiful Hammonasset Beach State Park? It's got the state's longest public shoreline and it's a perfect place for a stroll.
