Cortez, Colorado is a big small town. It's in the southwestern corner of our state and it has a very southwest vibe. It has a population of just 8,800 residents.

This town may be small, but it's surrounded by beauty. There are so many incredible things to see in this part of Colorado.

I mean... just look at it. There are lots of reasons that you should visit Cortez and explore it and the natural and historical areas nearby.

Furthermore, a trip to Cortez is well worth the effort because of this pie shop. The Pie Maker Bakery opened in 2012 and it has been impressing everyone ever since.
