When it comes to comfort food, there is nothing quite like a thick, juicy, and heart-attack-waiting-to-happen burger. While Colorado is home to a number of unforgettable beef patties, we cannot help but gush about this one burger in particular, which tops our list of the best Colorado burger 2017:

Located in beautiful Buena Vista lies the delicious House Rock Kitchen, which bills itself as a "fast casual, from scratch, healthy, and fun option" for the small mountain town.

...and an epic dine-in and carry-out menu, there is truly something for everyone to love about this small town favorite!

While we crave nearly everything on the House Rock Kitchen's menu, our favorite item of all would have to be their mouthwatering Mushroom Burger, which is comprised of a 7 oz. locally sourced house patty, sauteed mushrooms, gorgonzola, and a pumpkin pesto aioli.

(Not a fan of mushrooms, like my super picky husband? No problem, as House Rock also serves an assortment of other burgers, including veggie, BBQ, and the pictured Chipotle.)

House Rock Kitchen is located at 421 E Main St in Buena Vista and is open daily from 11 am to 9 pm.
