The Incredible Northern California Restaurant That’s Way Out In The Boonies But So Worth The Drive

You don't have to go to the big cities like San Francisco or Monterey to find delicious restaurants. In fact, there's one Northern California that's nestled so far out in the boonies that the town where it's located has a population of just 817. Piazza de Campovida is a restaurant and inn rolled into one, and once you've sampled a taste of their food, you won't regret the drive.

The Piazza was inspired owner Gary Breen's desire to bring hops back to Hopland.

Co-owner Anna longed to bring a sense of community to this tiny village.

Thus, Piazza de Campovida was born. It's a restaurant and inn that emphasizes communal gathering, fresh ingredients, and delicious wines and craft brews.

The star of the menu is definitely their wood-fired pizza. Piazza de Campovida's website writes that their menu is "meant to be shared."

Other selections on the menu include comfort food options like this lamb stew.

Piazza means square or plaza in Italian, so it makes sense to order something Italian off the menu, such as this spaghetti bolognese.

Feeling chilly while watching the sun set? Get warm around this fire pit that makes the piazza feel even cozier.

This restaurant may be out in the boonies, but you'll likely agree that it's so worth the drive.

Northern California is filled with awesome places like Piazza de Campovida. Hungry for more? Check out these attractions that you need to visit.
