You’ll Absolutely Love This 50s Themed Diner In Southern California

Pann's is a historic 1950s diner in Los Angeles known for its authentic decor, comfort food, and Googie architectural style.

There are plenty of restaurants that deck out their dining rooms in 1950s-era decor, and they're all pretty quaint. But there's one diner in Southern California that's the real deal. This place opened for business in 1958, and it's maintained the same atmosphere ever since. Have you visited Pann's?

If you've lived in Los Angeles for very long, you're familiar with this iconic neon sign.

Pann's is located at 6710 La Tijera Boulevard, Los Angeles.

George and Rena Poulos opened Pann's in 1958, and it's been serving up delicious comfort food for breakfast and lunch ever since.

The restaurant is not just famous for its food - the building was designed in the Googie architectural style by Helen Liu Fong. It's also been featured in several films and television shows.

The dining room at Pann's hasn't changed much over the years.

It's truly a classic diner experience, with its vintage light fixtures, cozy red naugahyde booths and retro bar with swivel stools. Photos and memorabilia line the walls as a testament to the rich history of this place.

Sit up at the bar for a real throwback to the 1950s.

These white vinyl swivel seats have been here since the beginning, and it's fun to watch the hustle and bustle behind the bar.

Breakfast at Pann's is the perfect way to start your day.

The huge Texas Style French Toast will fill you up. Get yours with bananas or strawberries and whipped cream.

The chicken and waffles is one of the most popular breakfast entrees.

Top your Belgian waffle with chicken wings, a thigh and leg, or a breast and wing. The original recipe fried chicken is scrumptious.

For lunch, a cheeseburger, onion rings and chocolate shake is the way to go.

The onion rings here are legendary, and as big as your face.

When you really need comfort food, order the chicken fried steak.

This is diner food at its best! The chicken fried steak is covered in country gravy and served with mashed potatoes and your choice of vegetable. Get a biscuit with gravy on the side, too.

The shakes are old-school, served alongside the cup they're made in, so you basically get almost two full glasses of chocolatey goodness.

Pann's makes each shake individually, just like a 1950s soda fountain.

Visit Pann's seven days a week.

It's open Monday through Saturday from 7 AM to 3 PM; Sunday from 8 AM to 4 PM.
