We're all for holiday activities for families, but sometimes you need some spirits to get in the Christmas spirit. Fort Smith's Bakery District has a new addition that's quite festive - the Jingle Bar! This holiday pop-up bar is a merry spot to celebrate the season. Round up your friends and get ready for a decked out space filled with good food, drinks, and endless merriment.
The Bakery District is Fort Smith's newest gathering place filled with good food and shopping.
The facility was originally Shipley's, a mass production bread bakery, between 1921-1996. Since renovating, the spot now has food trucks, a coffeeshop, bookstore, and plenty of outdoor seating.
The Jingle Bar is the newest addition to the Bakery District. It's a festive pop-up bar filled with all sorts of Christmas goodies!
Down from Bookish: an indie shop for folks who read and Fort Smith Coffee Company is a new attraction - the Jingle Bar! This holiday bar will be at the Bakery until January 2nd, 2021. Make reservations between 4 - 10 PM Monday - Wednesday or 4 - 11 PM Thursday - Saturday.
Inside you'll be transported to a cheery space that's a whimsical mishmash of Christmas nostalgia and artistic flair.
The food and drink are only part of the experience here (though certainly an important part to be sure). During your visit feel free to mask up and look around! The Jingle Bar has endless selfie spots, s'more kits for sale, and ornaments that benefit a good cause. Money raised from the ornament sales go towards the Ronald McDonald House Charities of Arkoma and other local charities. In addition to feel good fuzzies from helping out, you'll earn a spot for your name on the Jingle Bar Christmas tree!
Toast and get toasty with one of the Jingle Bar's signature holiday drinks.
This may be the hardest decision you make all night - what to drink! With options like the North Pole Margarita, boozy Housemade Egg Nog, Merry Berry Gimlet, and Christmas in Manhattan (to name a few), it'll be hard to make up your mind.
Pair your holiday cocktail with a hearty plate of nachos or other Mexican dish.
The Jingle Bar has partnered with a local family to offer a delicious array of Mexican cuisine. Tacos, tamales, burritos, carnita nachos, and more are all freshly prepared in the Bakery District's kitchen.
Easy-to-follow guidelines are in place to ensure the Jingle Bar stays safe gathering space.
Parties can stay at the bar for up to two hours and reservations must be made to keep capacity under the max. Also, masks need to be worn if you leave your seat. Stay respectful of 6-ft. distancing from other groups when you're up taking photos, too.
For extra elbow room you're more than welcome to sit outside under the Bakery's covered patio. You can still drink and be merry all while supporting this local attraction.
Don your mask and gay apparel and fah la la over to the Jingle Bar!
Remember, reservations need to be made in advance so contact the Jingle Bar through their Facebook Page to make yours! Visit the Bakery District's website
